Trailer Wiring Diagram - Feedback Please

Hello,

We have a '73 Boler that is being gutted. As all the electrics are being replaced, and as hobbies also include amateur radio / amateur astronomy, I've developed the following wiring diagram (High res jpg). Dry camping is expected to be more frequent than not, so the illustrated solar components will likely be upgraded to something more in the 240 watt/35 Amp range.

Please note, I like overrating to minimize wiring losses, improving safety margins and to provide some margin for upgrading in the future.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

WOW....that's a lot....

that is one complete re-wire...and then some

one question...what's the white/red light thing for ??

second, why a set of fuses for the trailer wiring? that sorta doubles up on the ones in the truck, no?

heck of a job/system, that's for sure...my solar is two forty watt panels (one on the roof, one deployable)....I seem to have lots of juice that way...but I don't use a lot of power to begin with.....and my system is "dumb"....all I got is a panel meter for information

Red lights and fuses

During night-time activities, such as looking through a telescope, using (dim) red lights instead of white, helps preserve dark adapted vision. So I can come into the trailer to do stuff, without worrying about my night vision.

Trailer wiring fuses - good point. Omitting this would simplify things.

Update diagram here.

I always over engineer wiring that is why I never use anything smaller than 12 Gauge.

No, but I like the way you think

(Just a ubiquitous Icom IC-706MKIIG for now. A bit thirsty while just receiving, but I'm too busy spending money on this trailer to get a new radio right now.)
