Trillum Light Reno

I have Renovated the Rear Lights on my trailer as Roy of TO has suggested. I reversed the metal bar and drilled a hole where there is a depression. I also added a LED bulb from Princess Auto.

I am waiting for the LED side markers to go on sale at Princess Auto. In the mean time they(LED and Normal Bulbs) all work fine together.
I found that the running light side of one LED bulb that I bought from Princess Auto was not working but that turned out to be even better. I put tape over the running side of the other bulb and the bulbs work only when the brakes or direction signals are on. I will include a picture later when I take a picture of them on.

Here are the pictures of the light reno that I did. The pictures don't do it justice because you can really see them light up when in person. The top pictures shoe the light with the break on and the next one shows just the running lights on. The bottom left shoes all lights on. (running and break on) The bottom right shoes the normal bulbs lit also.

On mine, I think the wire colours were backwards from what I expected on one light. I had the same problem until I switched the wires around. I had bought my lights at Cerka the week before I saw them on sale at Princess Auto.

Now I'm wondering how you have positioned your lights. Did you position the extra bulb on the outsides of your lenses? If so, your license plate light will be on the curb side facing up, rather than streetside facing down onto your plate.

The attached photo shows the upper lense is the right side and the lower lense is the left lense.

Is that upper = curbside, lower = streetside?

Yes! That is correct. I also put model airplane plastic glue in the screw holes that hold the outer lense on. They where enlarge to the point of cracking so the glue allowed me to use smaller screws that where compatible to the original holes.
