That's the "spirit"!
Just make sure you get that tequila with the worm in it- that Bad Boy'll scare off any/all other such critters. Works best if using the "worm still alive" version of the tequila, of course.

It's a date, Sistah! But...San Diego- California? That's a fur piece from my reglar stompin' grounds.

Thing is, my parole officer set my ankle bracelet to "Autokill if going across the Southern Oregon Border". And the only reason Oregon lets me in is because I was born there and it continues to believe it bears a certain responsibility for the outcome of that event.

I heard that the California Inspection Stations are on a permanent lookout for a whole list of contraband items; which list includes firewood, vegetables, and me. But I haven't attempted to cross since the Schwartzenegger Administration there, which I understand has since been replaced with another, perhaps more...shall we say "Francesca Friendly" one?

Girding my loins for another attempt...if there are enough air holes in the trunk you'll be hearing from me!

Brings back memories of my college days. We had the electric water cooler filled with vin rose. It was handy, and didn't require sanitation measures!

A tidbit that I picked up from watching TV.

If you don't have access to clean drinking water. Fill a clear, 1 liter pop, or water bottle with the clearest water you can find, then lay it out in the sun for a day. The UV kills the bugs in the water. After a day it is safe to drink. This does not work for cloudy water.

The problem with that solution is that even bottled water has a "best before date" and that's because it contains bacteria that multiply over time.
Perhaps, leaving bottled tap water out in the sun might work, but is also likely to warm the water, improving the environment for bacteria.
Wasn't Dr. Oz was it??

Requires continuous exposure to strong sunlight for six hours. Also needs reasonably clear water- bacteria will hide from the radiation under sediment. U.V. radiation rather than temp is the sanitizing factor- kills those bad boys dead as a doornail!

There was a far bit of chatter in the international travel forums a number of years back on the topic of solar water disinfection. One of the reason when I travel in counties that are not known for great water, when I buy bottled water (which is often bottled in the country of purchase) I leave it out in the sun for a day before sticking it in the fridge to cool down.
