New Toilet

Rookie here guys so cut me some slack! I have a 19' fifth wheel Scamp. I am planning to install a permanat toilet. I'm needing guidance on the installation. I know the basics of what is needed but am not certain on the details. Things like which floor flange to use, the best way to connect to the black water tank, adding a drain to the tank, etc. The toilet I'm adding is the Thetford Aqua-Magic V. Any help in the form of pointers or diagrams would be appreciated.

Sorry cant help you as I thought the 19' had the same toilet set up as the 16' where the blackwater tank was inside the bathroom and attached to the toliet. Like this Sealand Black Tank For Toilet

I kind of like it that way as its one less outside tank to worry about freezing when camping in cold weather.

Check the Scamp Parts Department at the link above for all the flange parts etc you will need.

Does this tank drain through the floor to the outside or do you have to remove it through the door to empty??

It drains through the floor using the same type of drainage system as your grey water tank uses. Its a 3" sewer termination valve. All parts needed at Scamps parts department also its all pretty standard RV fittings so you should be able to obtain at any RV supply store.

RV Toilet Alternative

Hello,

I think the easiest installation would be a boat type composting toilet.
I have been using one for years and they work fine. Exhaust fan uses
about 2 amp hours / 12 V DC per day. No black water tank to empty.

Good Luck, Larry H
