outside shower

I was all set to cut a big hole and install one of those outside shower kits purchased from a rv place. It is about 12" X 8" hole size. Then I got to thinking, why not just install 2 spigots in the outside wall and hook us a hose when needed? This would eliminate such a large hole and possible leak entry. I can run a line inside to the spigot and drill a 1/2" hole in the outside wall.
Now the hard part, where would I find a spigot that would mount on the outside and hook via the "shark bite" system to my water? Anyone know of any possible sources? Thanks...

What is the "shark bite" system? Is that like the quick connect garden hose systems?

SharkBite Fittings | Sharkbite Plumbing | Instant Push Fittings for CPVC, Copper and PEX Tubing SharkBitePlumbing.com

Shark Bite fittings are simple push on connectors that allow you to install PEX tubing without need for crimpers. They also work well on copper pipe. I use them a lot. Available at Home Depot and the like.

WRT the exterior faucets...it would seem they'd need to be in a recessed box with a door...just like the conventional outside showers. If not they'd be exposed and easily knocked off or damaged.

If you can find a Washer Outlet Box Valve with a long shank, you could use a 1/2" iron pipe escutchion (white plastic) on the outside and inside and lock it with a nut than use a 1/2" female x sharkbite fitting and connect your pex pipe. You would probably only find a brass valve.
