Looking to order some parts while things are cold and snowy and the camper is in storage. The outlet broke off on the shower trap this summer and needs to be replaced. Is it the same as the sink trap listed in the Scamp parts store? I just want to make sure that I order the correct part. Also, while I'm down there, what do people do to stop grey water from coming back up in to the shower floor while traveling or will the new trap combat this? Thanks.

Bryan, can't answer the trap size question... but, Scamp doesn't manufacture the part so you may find it cheaper locally... at least you wouldn't pay S&H. Take the part off and go to a plumbing store....

Put the plug in the shower drain when traveling, or only tow with the gray water tank empty. Both have worked for me!

Duh, I never thought of putting the drain plug in!

I can't just take it off as it's in storage and I'd have to haul it home just to take out the drain. I guess I'll just drive to the storage place and have a look-see if I don't get any other answers here.

I dont know if this will help but some casita folks replace the hangdown trap with a HepoV valve. IT's flat and was designed to not backflow

Since you won't wait till it thaws LOL
It went out in the snow and crawled under my 2009 16' Scamp and then looked under the sink and they look and feel the same. I did not measure it.

I looked under my 03 16' Scamp earlier today and the shower drain/trap fitting looked the same as the sink drain.
I just bought this Scamp several weeks ago so I can't give you any advice on your gray water problem.
I have had other Scamps and changed the sink drain fitting on them so I think they are both the same.
The sink drain is generic to travel trailers and Mohos so you should find it at an RV store and save the UPS charges from Scamp.

Thanks Bill and Perry. A least now I know what I'm looking for!

Ken, that looks like an interesting idea but I'd have to look and see how far that whole contraption hangs down.
