Toilet doesn't shut off completely

My toilet doesn't shut off completely, such that if I'm hooked up to a water source, over a 3-4 hours, my black tank will fill up completely. If I jiggle the flush handle it kind of helps a bit, but it will still eventually fill up. When I have a sewer hookup I leave the black valve open to prevent it from filling up. Otherwise if I'm using the pump, it's not a problem since I only switch the pump on when I want water. I don't see any way I can get into the toilet mechanism to see if anything seals can be replaced. Suggestions?

I had toilet troubles in my Fiber Stream last year, and had to pull the entire unit to access the water valve. Mine was so old I wound up replacing the whole toilet.

I see you have a 17' Burro. When Gina D. had the same problem in her 17' Burro, she installed a shut-off valve in the line about 6" away from the toilet.

Yep, in-line shut-off valve would be the easiest solution. Replacing the valve on the toilet may not be possible if the brand/model is no longer available. I'm not sure if that's the problem Gina ran into or not.

Hi, Thomas,

What brand of toilet do you have? If it's a SeaLand, I may be able to offer some advice, otherwise, probably not so much.
