2006 Eggcamper EGGCAMPER

This is a better than new 2006 EggCamper. EggCampers are extremely rare. They stopped producing these because they cost so much to make. They are very similar to a Scamp or Casita. The advantage of the Egg Camper over the Scamp or Casita is the Egg is about 6 inches wider and about a foot taller inside. That space inside makes all the difference in the world. I have two Casitas and a Uhaul here that you can compare the difference.

What makes this EggCamper "better than new"?

The original EggCampers had a side mount inefficient air conditioners. This one has a professionally installed Dometic air conditioner on the roof and the space where the old air conditioner was has now been utilized into a storage compartment. All of the interior has new modern style cabinetry. The bathroom has a door installed as opposed to just a curtain, a waterproof medicine cabinet, waterproof toilet paper dispenser, and a vent installed all other standard Eggs, believe it or not, did not come with any of those items .

Here is a list of all of the components that are new:

New cabinet doors.

New cabinet hardware.

New flooring.

New cove base.

New roof vent.

New bathroom vent.

New waterproof medicine cabinet.

New waterproof toilet paper dispenser.

New full length door mirror.

New skylight.

New air conditioner.

New side storage door.

New flat screen television.

New Queen size memory foam bed not a cheap one, a very comfortable high quality mattress .

New electric jack.

New good year tires.

This camper has been meticulously cared for and is in absolute mint condition better than it was the day it rolled off the showroom floor .

How much?

No propane or batteries? All-electric? Size of water tank--if there is a water tank?
Type of potty if there is a potty?

Total weight as it sits?

Tongue weight as it sits?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Thanks.

Right, thanks.

So it is all-electric?

Boondocking capabilities?

How much are you asking for it?

$17,900, price is to be found in the link.

All-electric as far as you know? Okay. You're not the seller, Micah, you're his friend, Todd. I get it.

Thanks.

Judging from the pictures, you have corralled an entire herd of FG trailers!

My husband is 6'2" tall, how tall is the interior? Could he stand and shower?

I am also exactly 6'2" and that's what led me to the egg camper. If you're interested in a fiberglass camper trust me the egg camper is the one for you. These are very rare but the advantage of the egg over the Casita not only does it have a fiberglass wall on the inside and not carpet but it's also a foot wider and a foot taller which enables you to sleep stretched all the way out and stand up even in the shower.

Info on Egg Camper

Hi Micah - we will continue to follow this. You've done a beautiful job on upgrades. We just started shopping and are early in process of determining what specs we need and want - contemplating a trip up to Peachtree in July to see it - if it hasn't been snatched up 🙂 It's a 5.5 hour trip - doable with lead time for arrangements.
Thanks- Sandy

The egg camper is definitely one to consider. This one is in
Like-new condition. I actually have two casitas, an older one and a 2015 17 foot Casita hear that you can compare them side-by-side.

Hello Micah,

I have a question about the professionally installed Dometic air conditioner on the roof.....was it necessary to add support to the roof to handle the weight of the AC? Was this something you discussed with Jim Palmer back in 2006?

Very interested to hear your response!

Thank you,

Very good question. The specific model of AC was chosen because of its lightweight. And yes the roof was reinforced to support the extra weight especially while the camper is being transported.

Hi Micah, that's a beautiful Egg Camper you have. Is it still for sale? And if so can you give anymore detail about how the roof AC unit was reinforced? That would be my only concern. Thanks in advance!
