After many iterations, I finally have an almost windproof awning. Sewed the awning out of ripstop waterproof nylon, heavy duty suction cups hold it to roof of Scamp, shock-corded fiberglass tent poles hold it in its curved state, bungee cords to bumper and front frame hold the front and back awning corners down, and 3 steel tent poles keep it fairly solid to the ground. If it's windy, I use an adjustable painter's pole tucked under the crossed fiberglass poles to keep the convex curve from becoming concave.
