Fiberglass RV - Lil M.'s Album: My LilScamper

My LilScamper
Pics of improvements made to my '84 13' Scamp. To see the long drawn-out version, visit:
Had overhead front storage installed at factory in Backus prior to attending Scrambled Eggs gathering at Taylors Falls.
Installed an IKEA towel bar to underside of upper kitchen cabinet so things can dry over the sink.
Added a clear deck plate on top of water tank. Can clean it much more easily, plus see water level. Might even be easier to fill as well.
When adding 12v battery power, electrician merely fed two more large wires through original wiring port. A former owner had added about 18" of extra...
After a bumpy trip down I-29 to Watertown, SD, I decided a new axle was in order. Combined axle installation at Backus with a camping trip to...
Thanks to a kind gentleman on the forum, for the cost of the postage I now have hubcaps. Doesn't she look pretty?
Found a 1984 penny and the directions for the Dometic 2201 3-way refridgerator when I removed the floor of the closet to cut the hole for the 110...
Took the wheels off two little roller carts that I no longer needed in my shop. One is slightly narrower than the other so it accommodates the curve...
Along with all the cupboard doors, I painted the table with "Bamboo" True Value semi-gloss paint. Like it much better than the fake wood.
I also...
Made a bag to hold the solar panel. To transport the panel, I have a bungee cord that I loop through the bag handles with a larkshead knot, then...
Attached 10 feet of wiring to solar panel and put two-prong plug on the end to make easy hookup to controller. Ten feet isn't long enough. Used...
Solar panel all hooked up and taking in the rays. Made a stand for it out of aluminum angle. Got the idea from somewhere on Fiberglass RV forum.
Solar panel controller all snug in its case. Case was clear so I spray-painted it silver to seal in and hide the contents.
Solar panel controller fitted inside a waterproof box. Well, it isn't totally waterproof cuz I drilled holes in the sides to pass the wiring in from...
Since trailer came without converter or even battery, I had an electrician wire up the 12v lights, etc. to a battery I installed on the tongue. He...
Installed another 110AC outlet below closet door. Great for plugging in heater or Battery Tender.
Small Shurflo pump (103-003) is more than adequate to get water to faucet. Since this pic was taken I've improved the foam base to reduce vibration...
Installed outside light. Switched regular bulb with LED.
Installed 12V outlet for charging phone, iPod, laptop.
Replaced hand pump faucet with 12v faucet. BIG improvement.
New floor installed. Note color of doors. Painted all doors with "Bamboo" True Value semi-gloss paint.
Cherry laminate flooring from Lumber Liquidators - 59 cents/sf. Score!
Necessary kitchen utensil installed. Note new color of cabinet doors and drawer.
Found a bamboo cutting board that fits in the sink and over the stove to add a little extra counter top work area.
Replaced the ugly fridge laminate front with a map of an area in the Boundary Waters that I visited in 1998.
