Is the 3 drawer plastic bin, needed to hold the folding side table up? Did you use a piano hinge on the scrap wood?

I have two hindges under the folding table. It will hold up to 75 lbs. No the plastic bin does not hold the table up. Thats what I use to store silver ware and kitchen utensils and spices and plastic bags in. I take it outside most of the time because I cook outside. Yes the little long shelf under the window, I mounted on the piano hindge with two wedge shaped braces under it, so I could lift it out of the way when necessary. I now have built a front dinette and if sitting there I need to lift both shelfs out of the way. Thanks for your comment.
