Betsy the Boler
Betsy is a 1978 Boler that I purchased in Warman, SK, on July 31st, 2013.
Betsy is Pablo approved!!
New curtains. They are blackout curtains, which will help us sleep mornings and keep Betsy cool on hot days.
This photo shows off the new curtains with the bedspread and pillows.
This photo shows the newly painted cupboard doors and backsplash. I will be adding tile to the backsplash in the future.
The reworked tongue area.
Dad also reworked the tongue area to fit two propane tanks and the new battery box.
Dad replaces all the pipes and spigot on the water tank when he replaced it.
New curtains thanks to my uber talented step-mom! Much better.
New under cabinet light and new hole cut into the upper cupboard space. Cupboard door to come!
The side lights got new covers for now until I find the lights I really want.
The light fixture was in bad shape, so I replaced it.
He did a great job. It no longer leaks!
The water tank was leaky, so dad took it off and re-fibreglassed in places.
Cleaning the butyl tape off the window.
Got the window area all cleaned up. My dad repaired the wood. We replaced all the butyl tape.
Both side windows looked like this. Some rotted wood. Butyl tape hard-ish and worn.
First major reno - fix the leaky windows.
Betsy beside Dad's Big White Bus. Dad built the bus from the axels up, so he's helping with my boler renos.
Visiting Corner Gas last summer on her first road trip.
On the way home we stopped at Corner Gas...
...Ta da! Some added colour to her very brown interior!
Painting Betsy's cupboard doors. Had to put a high quality primer on them and sand in-between coats.
We discovered that she has electric brakes! On a 13' boler! They're not currently hooked up, but we may do so.
Possible front dinette area?
The front bunk/couch area has an opening (for porta-potty storage). I took the storage door off and am contemplating putting a front dinette in.
