New Cushions
I loved our original cushions but the sad truth is they were shot. There were well-disguised cuts from deterioration all over the fabric and the 36-year-old foam has lost its umph. I’m a side-sleeper and my hips just couldn't take it anymore. I bought a 6” combo memory foam + high density foam mattress off of Amazon and carved that sucker up like Thanksgiving dinner. Then I upholstered my spongy hunks in a gorgeous jade Dwell Studio upholstery fabric. (Fabricguru.com is insanely cheap guys. Woven ROBERT ALLEN for $9.95/yard 🤤). I took this opportunity to also get a more heavy duty sewing machine. I lucked out on Craigslist and found a real beauty from 1967. All metal parts (squeee!). I could sew straight over my finger and it wouldn’t even stutter—the sign of true quality! Thank goodness for YouTube tutorials. I only had to consult with my Mom (who has sewn over her finger multiple times—the sign of a true sewist!) once!

13' Scamp - New Flooring
I removed the original carpeting in our 13' Scamp and replaced it with Allure vinyl plank (click and lock). The flooring I used is "TrafficMASTER Allure Ultra7.5 in. x 47.6 in. Espresso Oak Resilient Vinyl Plank Flooring" Available at The Home Depot.

New Table
We replace the original, warped table with a new one cut from cabinetry grade plywood. We also made a cover from the same sheet of plywood for the stove area.
