When do you put your Fiberglass RV away for the winter?
I know some of you never put yours away. But for the rest of us

California....

June 1st through the first week of Sept.

Seriously we hardly ever camp in the summer.

I'll go to my room now.

pjanits 09-30-2009 03:03 PM

Illinois, the end of October.

Steve Dunkel 09-30-2009 04:10 PM

Similar to Lizbeth, the Bigfoot is parked in May through October. The summer months are spent on the water. The start of our camping season in SoCal begins around Thanksgiving.

HerseyBA 09-30-2009 04:39 PM

For our long TEXAS Winter, 22 Dec to 6 Jan.

brian m. 09-30-2009 05:00 PM

For our long NORTH Texas winter, December 21 to Jan 7.

George Cathcart 09-30-2009 05:20 PM

:omy Funny you should ask. Tiny Bubble went into the garage this afternoon. First good freeze, predicted 25 degrees tonight and I hate to winterize. Better pull the tomato plants too and hang them upside down in the garage, huh?

Ed Harris 09-30-2009 05:50 PM

In Missouri I don't put it away,I just drag it down to Florida!

Someone has to.

I slept one night in Ocala and now it is been in West Palm Beach since Sunday.

And I am getting paid to do it.
Does it get any better than this?

Ed

new brunswick, canada

as hard as it is to have to call the season quits, we will put our trillium into our garage in late october and have it ready to leave for warmer, southern climes in mid march. if we weren't heading south, it would have to stay away until at least may.

Donna D. 09-30-2009 06:01 PM

Portland, Oregon

Right after the Fall Northern Oregon Gathering (this year October 9-11, 2009). Comes back out just before the Spring Northern Oregon Gathering (next year April 22-25, 2010)

I am one of the lucky ones to NOT have to put it away for winter........summer use may be a bit limited, but I still get 'er out there. When you all are storing yours it is turning into prime camping weather here. May your summer memories hold you through the cold winter months of the north! Chris

Gina D. 09-30-2009 08:38 PM

Arizona here too! Chris calls to find out where I am going to be on winter weekends and then he goes the opposite direction..

Even when I lived in California on a mountain... where it snows.. I never put the Burro away. My use slowed down a bit, but I still managed to get out once a month or so.

I live in mine now, or will very shortly... so, When I get put away, it will too!

Bill MacDermod 09-30-2009 08:40 PM

:snowman Sarasota, Fl. never,... the best florida camping is about to start, just gets gooder and gooder. Instead of putting it away in the bad season (summer) we head north to the northeast :woohoo:

floyd 09-30-2009 09:36 PM

Illinois... It all depends how many campsites are available in Texas or Florida! :slap:

Kathy L 09-30-2009 10:21 PM

12th of Sept. just after the last camp. Already been to the RV show here in Abottsford, B.C. Canada

Doug Mager 09-30-2009 10:37 PM

STATE: (....of) Confusion!

Location: Sun Belt of Rain Soaked B.C. Canada

When do we put away? Hardly EVER!

Too many events (trailer and auto themed) going on all year up here to put the Trillium that far into hibernation.
Its always near at hand and avaivable in about a weeks notice!

In Minnesota - End of November!

james kent 10-01-2009 07:23 AM

Haven't even had an overnight frost here in Southern Ontario yet. Maybe in another month or so when the leaves fall off the trees.

Dan Meyer 10-01-2009 02:20 PM

I'm in Minesota; generally I winterize in mid-November. One year it was mid-December (we actually went Camping in early December). We usually de-winterize about April 15th. My wife and I have been out camping in mid-March, and had a ball!
