Passport card vs. Enhanced Driver's License
I'm about to switch my state of residency to Washington. I already have a Passport card, which I think is valid for seven more years. Is there any benefit to an enhanced driver's license if I already have a passport card? All I ever use the latter for is driving into Canada; I realize it isn't good for flying.

None :D

Edit: actually I have no idea what a Passport card is ;-) but if you mean an actual Passport then there is no real benefit to a enhanced drivers licence.

A passport card is good for land and sea travel to border countries only. Same as an EDL. Not good for international travel other than those countries or any countries by air.

I heard from my nephew-in-law who is a border agent that there is no advantage to an EDL if you have a passport card that isn't about to expire. If I didn't already have a passport card the advantage would be having one fewer thing to hang onto, but I do, since California didn't (or still doesn't?) have an EDL.
