Water Heater

I have an older Coachmen with a newer water heater, propane. My pilot light will light but when I turn it to on nothing happens, my pilot light will stay lit and then go out. The hot water heater may be five years old. This was working last weekend. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks
Randy

sounds like the thermo-couple that detects the flame isn't getting hot enough to open the main valve, or you have a propane issue. If the propane tank was turned off for a period of time you may have air in you lines which can take time to bleed out while on Pilot

Light the stove burners and let stay on high for a few minuites. Then retry.

Clean the spider nest out of the burner assembly.
Which will require removing it to do it right.
