Hello to all - very good to be here.

Just today purchased a 1975 Trillium 1300... needs some work but mostly original so no one has messed it up too badly, and it appears quite solid and well cared for.

I will be posting questions as this project begins!

THANKS

GK, Ottawa

Lots of information here for everyone.

Sometimes we miss some when they join in the middle of a busy thread.

So.........Welcome! one and all.

Welcome GK, We really love pictures. The links above explain how to post them. I use the "Manage Attachments" button below the text entry window. This is not available in the "Quick Reply" window. You have to click "Go Advanced", and you will see it.

BTW, Since you are a Trillium owner, check out:

Almost 100 Trilliums listed in order of serial number, with links to the owners, and the trailers. Please feel free to add your trailer to the list. Just post some pictures of your Trailer and your serial number. A picture of the data sheet, that should be on the inside of your closet door, is perfect.

I purchased a 75 Boler a week and half ago. Mostly original I think. Working on sprucing it up a bit for camping season. Was going to dive head first into a remodel but I want to spend this camping season in it. Plus actually using it for a season will give me a better idea of how to remodel it that suits my family. Glad to be part of this forum.

And the forum is glad to have you aboard!

I think you are taking a smart approach, use it for awhile and figure out what you want to do based on actual experience.

You might want to look over the FGRV rally map and announcements, if there is a rally you can attend in your area it is a great place to get ideas from looking what others have done, or get advice from some folks with a lot of experience.

Hi from sunny South Africa

Hi, Johann here from South Africa, just bought a 1963 Roamer Rand, 3rd owner since new, these are becoming quite scarce in SA, so glad I got it. Will be towed by my '75 VW Bus:

Hi, I'm new to this site. My husband and I would like to purchase a small travel trailer. Would be interested in a fixer upper.

Bob Miller 04-08-2014 06:46 PM

Hi Peanut01 and welcome to the world of FGRV's.

It might be best if you post a fresh listing under the trailers wanted or the general discussion forums. Not many sellers will be looking on this very old thread for buyers.

You might want to include a bit of additional info:

What year/age range you want. Some FGRV are over 40 years old
How big a trailer do you want, they range from 13" to about 25'
What amenities do you have to have; air conditioning, bathroom, shower, hot water etc.
What condition can you deal with. There is everything from restored/turnkey down to abandoned, gutted out projects out there. But two tips, It's prohibitively expensive to restore a fixer if you have to farm the work out and Always buy the very best you can afford, it's almost always better than doing a lot of fixing trying to save money.
What will you be towing with, that will tell us what you can and can't tow
Where you are located and how far you are willing to travel to see/buy the right unit
And your approximate budget.

You will find lots of help and advice, roll up your sleeves and dive in...

Good Luck

Hi all, I am a returning member who couldn't remember my password, so I started again with a new one. Glad to be back as a junior member instead of a senior one. Makes me feel younger.
Also, I hope I am posting correctly, I could only find "reply" to post, and this isn't really a reply to anything.
So for you who are interested, my scamp burned up in the shop years go, then I
had a Boler, now a Trillium 4500 deluxe. Serial number 45-1100951. Issue number (I don't know if that means much) is 319006. And, it as bought from Webber Travel Trailers on Findlay, Ohio. But not by me!
So, good to be with you again, and, Happy Trails.

Welcome (back) Rarebird. You don't see the New Thread button because you are already in a thread.

Go up to the top level (forums) and pick a sub forum and you should see the New Thread button same location you see the New Post button here in this thread.

Hi RogerDat, thanks for the info, but it seems I only get a new post button when I go to web view. Maybe because I am on an iPad? Anyway, it may take some time to figure this out. I will try again on a laptop and see if it is any different.
