Partial dark side?

I ordered a 30 ft stickie today. This is to be my winter home in Arizona. My 19 ft Escape is not satisfactory for three months of wintering especially if my girlfriend joins me. The Escape remains for all other use: travelling, camping, attending fiberglass rallies. I'll take the new trailer to AZ, use it in the park and store it there for the rest of the year when I'm not wintering.

Naw, you just like to chill in the shadows. ;)

A stick built will hold up quite nicely in Arizona I think. It's the winter snow and moisture that kills them dead everywhere else IMO.

Can't she just sleep in the truck?

Sounds like a good plan with the two trailers for different purposes.

That is the trick with stick built trailers, to not put too many miles on them, and they hold up quite well. I had a 24' Terry I bought used, which had been on one holiday in 2 years, then sat in a lot at a campground. I had it for 12 years, used it on two 2 week holidays, otherwise it sat as a cabin at our land.

When I sold it in the spring of '09, just before picking up my Escape 19, the rubber nibs were still on the old, old original tires. Everything was solid.

I had a friend with a similar Terry trailer, but he towed it a lot. After 10 years, nothing seemed to work right on it, doors not latching or sticking, windows not working good, and so on.
