Trailer Name TRill' Of A Lifetime - TROAL for short
Year 1978
Make Trillium
Model 4500
Length 15 ft
Packages Pretty Basic
After first exterior cleaning
History PO had inherited the unit from father-in-law around 1980.
Interior
Plain Jane. Ugly curtains, a few stains, ugly carpet. The PO left us everything from cutlery to the drip coffee maker (almost new).

So far, pulled out all of the curtains & rods.
Removed the upper cupboard at the front of the unit.
Washing all the walls with Oxyclean & Fantastic.
Washed most of the cushion covers.
Don't want to put too much time & money into the thing if we can't get back into camping.
Pulled up the old carpet and replaced the plywood floor under the dinette with 1/2" PVC.
Removed propane heater.

Exterior
Scrubbed. Scrubbed. Scrubbed some more.
Got rid of all the black slime on the top.
Washed up the exterior.
Removed all of the old logos & stripes that were cracked & ugly.
Added new Crappy Tire striping and custom vinyl name lettering.
Moved spare tire to A-frame.
Added bike rack to rear bumper.

Replaced the exterior light outside the door.
Removed & rebuilding the left rear turn signal unit. Lens was cracked, repaired with duct tape. Moisture inside corroded the bulb socket almost completely away.

Moved the spare tire from the back bumper to the front a-frame. Installed bike carrier on rear bumper.

Removed and resealed aluminum awning track. Most painful part of rebuilding this trailer - fractured my left ulna (elbow) falling from ladder.

New fiberglass added to close off water tank area under trailer, where lots of gravel road travel had eroded away.

Customization
- Custom wooden toolbox that my daughter made - painted and carved wooden nameplates added to the sides.

- 2 new hatch openings to allow access to under-seat dinette areas.

- Removed wrinkled t-strips as they would not straighten. Filled gaps with acrylic caulk.

- Washed and painted Ensolite light grey.

- New white blinds - $15 total cost from Home Depot Canada.

- New upholstery - brewery theme.

- New custom wooden doors with reinforced and enlarged openings.

- New vinyl strip flooring.

- New LED under-cabinet strip lighting.

- Bus Depot 8 ft x 11 ft awning, complete with extra legs and sides to allow use as stand-alone tent.

Renovations
Planned:
- new curtains

Other Information
