Thanks to those who responded. I didn't find the exact weight because I have a broken spring, but I've determined that it weighs right around 3000 Lbs.

Catalytic gas and electric heaters are safe to use inside, but ventilation and a Carbon Monoxide detector are always a good idea. For air circulation a small, 12 volt DC fan should do the trick well...
