My 1978 boler 13 had only two screws going down through the floor only, in the rear. There was no faceplate and nothing holding it from the front.

Yes, was just using it to hold the wooden frame to the ceiling so I could screw into it from above. I never use silicone on a trailer - RV ProFlex if I need to seal anything and yes, butyl tape...
