I had the same problem... windows opening while in motion. I solved it by attaching a small / thin piece of ferrous metal to the frame of the aluminum window... behind where the sliding window sits...

My manual for our '89 Bigfoot gaucho shows support blocking on the rear, left side, for mounting a ladder to the roof. This might/should provide a better option than side mounting.
