Does anyone know an appropriate replacement make/model for a 1978 Boler 1700 HWT? I quickly measured the old tank and it is 18" deep, 13" wide, and 12.5" high. anyone replace a tank recently?

We just painted out 17 foot boler dark blue (interlux paint). It looks great and we have not had any problems with overheating. Then again, we live in Alberta and not the southern US?

You bet. I put in our 17 foot boler last summer. Looks great, easy to install, and it handled our temperature fluctuations in Alberta
