no original awning rail

because i do not want to put any add'l hole in the fiberglass shell by installing a rail, i would be very greatful to hear from others who have managed to find a shelter/awning that can be used...

i have a 1981 Boler 13' that is without any insulation inside. i am exploring both cork paint and ceramic paint as a way to insulate. has anyone else had any experience with either of these...
