Like most here, we trip plan for a 4-6 hr drive and use Wayz to assist in selecting the stopping location. That could be a RV park or several days at a State, BLM, COE, etc.
Stopping around 2 hrs...

A real good T V

We used our 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe XL (6 cyl) with our 2010 Casita 17'. Was a dream to pull, followed like a a puppy. Great ride, plenty of space to load, 5000# tow, 290 hp.

Yep, What Jim said

Get everything set up in advance with Trademasters and have it all installed the day before you pick up the camper. Excellent work and customer service.

You Tube reviews by experts

A nice one will still be at $40k and for that money you can get a Canyon SLT diesel (which is preferred for safely pulling a heavier camper having a big exposure to wind).

It's the bed for the hitch mount...

that's the issue, not the tow power. Almost any modern pickup can tow a Scamp 19. It only weighs 3200# and bed weight will be about 450#.
If the Ford has an aluminum bed then that may be the...

120 degree turns

We tow a 5.0 TA with a 5' bed Canyon. I can make real tight turns with the Andersen Ultimate hitch when the rails centerline is installed just 7" behind the top center of the axle. Thus, the tailgate...

Canyon

Towed our 2016 Scamp 19 deluxe easily with a 2015 GMC Canyon 6 cyl gas. This is the 6 speed trans, SLT, short bed, and the hitch was done at the factory in Basset, MN. I've since replaced it with an...
