Adrian, looks like your right, the diagram shows the body at 5', so 5'8" must be with the extending wheel wells.

Need advice on buying a Little Joe

I'm interested in buying a Little Joe trailer. So far it is the narrowest one I can find (5'8" according to Weis Craft Trailers - Little Joe Trailer Floor Plan and Specifications...
