I wish I could buy it, but my husband would murder me...

When I see a price that is way too low for a trailer in such great shape, I automatically consider it suspect. It may be completely legit, but I would urge caution.

As the old saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true....

That's the standard price the scammers use for these on CL.

It doesn't seem to be showing up posted elsewhere. Would be worth someone checking out with caution of course.

I have considered that possibility.

My 2003 Scamp, in near perfect condition, was listed for 3k, and it was legit.

And this one could be legit too. But, as soon as the seller starts talking about a third party delivering the trailer, wont give a physical address where it can be viewed, or brings up PayPal as the payment method, then you'll know it's just another CL scam.

The sheer amount of scammers on CL nowadays is mind boggling. We recently sold our home and are building a new one in the Hill Country north of San Antonio. In the process we listed and sold both our living room and dining room furniture on CL. After wading through at least 5 or 6 scammers for each item, we finally found a real local buyer and completed the transaction. Beware, that's all I'm saying.

Yes, sadly I think it's a scam. I got the "info". Bereaved widow. Actually in Butte? Price includes delivery.

Something like "it's already at the shipper who will deliver it once payment is made" ??

Sad - sweet trailer - I wonder who's it really is - stolen photo from this forum maybe? I would love to see it in person - and for that price I'm a buyer

Another 'scam' tipoff is when they only post one picture (or a single collage of views). Most genuine sellers will show off their trailer with several separate pictures.
