My dad had a '38 when I was a little kid [loved that car] and I later learned to drive in a sick stick '51. A beefed up version of either would be terrifiic to tow the little Boler and itgoes so well with the rounded fenders. Would have to be an automac just so the better half could drive it once in a while. At this stage, it can be anything that you would like it to be. How about an S10 chassis to update the running gear and make it a better tow vehicle? I like the idea of converting the trunk. Maybe something like a kitchen addition for the teardrop only add the beverage cooler and a TV.

Geez Carol, I have actually never crawled under to check. I guess that I'm getting a bit lax in my on-going years.

<further sigh> I had 3 morris minors; two 1000's and one 1000 convertible. the convertible was an old pal - i traveled across the US twice and up and down the left coast a few times. mmmm those were the days. and no, they could not in any way shape or form tow a toy trailer let alone a real rabbit one!

Obsessive infomation: I don't think it can be a later model as it has a left hand door, so would have been built prior to mid-1960s when Sweden changed from driving on the left of the road to driving on the right - yes, the whole country's roads were shut for the weekend and all the road signs were turned around. After that, you had to drive (max 20mph, or so) with your headlights on at all times to remind others to drive on the right - which is where the whole idea of daytime running lights came from.

And here's my Moggie (the nickname in Britain for a cat, or a Morris Minor). Stock engine but freshly rebuilt it was good for dead on 80mph which was quite enough even with upgrades to servo discs, anti-roll bar, gas dampers and radials.

Smile This could be a whole new section/thread, whatever.

For a while there, I thought we were starting a new section dealing with toy rv's!

Here is my contribution. It is my wife's retirement cake complete with palm trees and the ocean!!

TOY RVs?

You reminded me of the apoplectic rage of the German model aircraft designer in the 1960s film The Flight of the Phoenix when James Stewart descibes him as designing toys.
