Ron that is exactly what I am looking for. I wish you weren't so far away. If you still have it in a month, I may be able to get to NH. I'm a school teacher and will be able to get away in June.

Ron,
Are you buying a replacement? I know you did a lot of improvements to the Eggcamper and it shows.

Jim,
I stole several of the ideas for the mods from your posts. You've been very innovative with all your many campers :-).

I really love the EggCamper, but we've been snowbird camping in FL for the past two years. The first year for six months in the EggCamper, then decided that we needed a larger rig for the second year if we were going to camp for that much time. So, we picked up a used 26 ft. sticky and took it south this past winter.

Now we've decided to put our NH home up for sale and look for another where the winters aren't as severe. Originally, we thought that we'd keep the Egg and use it on shorter trips, and we did that last summer. But now, with selling the house, we really need to let it go. The sticky works ok, but the quality isn't there and it bugs me. So, if I see a larger fiberglass rig, perhaps like a Bigfoot 25 that is within our means, then I'll go there. In the mean time, we're busy getting the house ready for sale and planning the future.

Hi: Ron F... Sorry to hear about your "Egg sit" from the fiberglass camper. We thought you had a great set up in Myrtle Beach St. Pk. I do understand the complexity of arranging an extended Florida stay away from the weather. We picked last winter to try it, but stayed in one RV park the whole time. That's not our thing at the present time.
We're heading to BC to pick up a new 5.0TA, as we sold our 5.0. Got to deliver it on the way west...part of the deal!!! Here are a couple of pic's. of our RV park site and the new 5.0 Tandem Axle waiting for us in BC.
Where ever you "Park" keep your cards straight!!! Alf & Mary Anne

Most Eggcampers come from the factory with the shower and toilet in the front and a 5000 a/c under the dinette, unless it has been replaced with a bigger unit. Most Eggcampers are all electric, but this one has had propane furnace and water heater added, with the solar one can remain "unplugged" for awhile.

Jim is right. It has a "wet bath," shower/toilet combination at the front of the camper.

The A/C is the original 5000 btu unit. There's not much need for A/C in NH, but I've seen posts where other EggCamper owners have installed a larger unit. I think we may have used this one once.

I guess I should also mention that the EggCamper has 6' 7" headroom and I had no problems towing it with a 2002 and a 2011 Toyota Sienna minivan.

Ron, just a reminder that I could very well be a buyer in a month. Let us know if you sell it before then. I absolutely love your trailer, especially with propane and solar features added. Exactly what I want. Missouri to New Hampshire would be a long trip to look at it, and would probably buy unless something sticks out.

a good faith deposit would end the speculation, refundable if not as described.

I agree with Missouri Mark, this seems almost perfect...and i've looked alot. It looks like there are two solar panels, and I was wondering if they are shaded at all by the fans and/or are the panels adjustable or tiltable or fixed? I can't tell by the picture how close the panels are to the fans. Nothing this nice ever shows up in the southeast. I love all the modifications you've made!

Good Q? on panels. Wish I could buy it. I'm still a year away w/savings.

Paige, being from Georgia, do you see any Lil' Snoozys? It would be my 2nd choice -interior height issues on all others.

Ron,

Nice rig. You should have no trouble getting your price.

Can you report on how well the broadcast TV antenna works? I'm debating putting one on my camper. Is that mast something that can be raised up higher?

Paige, There is a single 85-watt solar panel centered on the roof. It isn't shaded by either vent cover and cannot be tilted. It does a good job charging the battery, even with some filtered sunlight. The key to powering with solar is the efficiency of the lighting and 12v appliances.

Conrad, The sensor antenna with the signal amplifier is good for about 20-30 miles. We've had good reception in some areas and not so good in others, but I'm not inclined to pay a satellite subscription. The mounting is on a telescoping painter's pole (available from Home Depot or Lowes) and it extends a couple of feet over the roof and allows rotating the antenna. Having a TV with an integrated DVD player helps when you're out of range.

Thanks for the tip Ron. I have a galvanized steel telescopic mast I bought for my house and never used. I deemed it to heavy for the camper. A painters pole is a fantastic idea, much lighter, easier to extend. It could work with more than one antenna too. I've been thinking about using some sort of clamp mount to my ladder. This will tie in well with that idea.
