Mine had been stripped clean so no furnace, fridge, water tank, stove, etc. I'll be starting from scratch. I will NOT use propane inside so if I have any kind of heater, it will be electric and if I mess with a cooktop, it will be an induction type.

Just curious. Why no propane?
I know a lot of boaters opt not to have it due to it being heavier than air. But that concern is fairly well mitigated in a trailer
Going all electric limits one to plugging in or a genset, since the battery draw for electric cooking is not practical with batteries

No Propane
I just don't like the risk of fire in such a confined place. I may have a tank for use with an external barbecue but not inside. I don't expect to do any camping during the cold weather and if I do, it will be at a park with electrical service.

Not afraid of being electrocuted?
You install a propane detector. Just like a smoke detector, which you should also have.
Don't ever recall seeing an electricity detector.

Risk of fire from an electrical short is probably as great as a risk from propane mishap. Electrical problems statistically account for about 1/3 of RV fires.

Propane/electrical hazards
Thanks for your input gentlemen but I'll still opt for no propane inside the trailer.

Counter trim
Sorry for jumping in on the thread, but anyone have a good solution for replacing the vinyl trim around the countertop? The sides have gone all wavy. No one seems to know what I'm talking about at the box stores.

Melody,
I'll take a wild guess; is it a T molding? These are commonly used with laminate surfaced counter tops. They fit into a slot around the perimeter of the top.

Thank you! At least I have the name of the product now. The link shows very long rolls of product for a high price. Anyone know where in Canada I could obtain a small piece or at least a better price?
What about cost effective alternatives?

I'd check local hardware stores. Before you go in, measure the width of the edge you're covering. You could also search online. You may find sources that sell smaller quantities.

T molding
My son has purchased T molding on line in like 25 foot rolls for a fairly reasonable price for restoring video game cabinets. Perhaps if you have a local arcade ( coin operated games) service shop in your area they would have some.
