Ignorance was bliss-80 Boler

I am getting new tires for my Boler on Thursday, I will be pulling off the current wheels and tires and having new tires put on the wheels.

I was fine till I read the answers on this forum about jacking up the
trailers. Some said don't use the axle. Others said use the frame. The axle can bend etc......Can it be that difficult.

My 1980 Boler has a leaf spring axle so where do I put the floor jack,

I'm leaving on a camping trip August 12th for a few days and would like to have new tires. The Carlisle's on it are dated 09

If you can put your floor jack directly under the spring where it bolts to the axle, you will be fine.

or, you can put the jack under the end of the leaf spring where it is solidly connected to the frame with the bushing mount (not the end with the shackles). This will probably be your best bet, as it will allow the tire to drop and be easier to remove the tire/rim.

The not-under-the-axle-or-it-will-bend comments were relevant to a torsion axle (big tube surrounds a bunch of rubber segments inside) and not to a leaf-spring design. You're good with a jack under the axle by the springs.
