Hi - I'm at the Atlanta rv show to check out the new parkliner design. No carpet anywhere that I could find except lining the exterior storage compartment. Fiberglass floor (no wood anywhere except the door fronts). Double fiberglass body with insulation between. The app doesn't seem to allow me to attach photos normally - I'll add them as another post.

Here are the promised photos. The bunk bed will hold over 200# if you are interested in that feature. The only three things I didn't love were 1. The space for adding the bunk bed post was not rounded. I'll attach another picture. And 2. It has the flat door (Bennie the burro has the curved door which I find charming). And 3. When the side table is set as a table - there is no back support in the design. As a single bed I think it is 7 feet long which is great.

I see that. It appears very secure - and no more sag in the door fit like in my burro.

I recently saw the new Parkliner at the Tampa RV show. After 2 days of examining and having numerous questions responded to by Tom Bass, I placed an order for the new camper. The price is a little higher, but they have really improved the camper which more than justifies the increased cost. The major improvements are a double walled frame, fiberglass floor and a large air conditioner in the ceiling. It is an impressive fully self contained little camper which I hope will bring many years of enjoyable carefree camping. I am anxiously waiting delivery by mid April. ��

I am sure that door is solid, but I really don't care for the moulding they did to fit it in on the top and bottom.

What is that aluminum grate beside the door for? I would worry about odours under the awing and the thing getting damaged there.

$29,999 fully loaded (but that is the show price). That includes everything except outside shower and the bunk bed option.

The grates are behind the microwave and refrigerator so (although I'm not positive) I think it's venting for them.

I've never had an attached awning. Why would there be odors under the awning?

The grates are for the fridge. My 2014 PL has the exact same design. So far no issues with the placement whatsoever.

I had one of those lightweight aluminum fridge vents in my Escape 19. Even being on the driver's side of of the way, it did get dinged up a bit, thus my concern here. I know Escape now uses a plastic vent which seems tougher.

The top doesn't bother me as much as the bottom. It looks like it might be vulnerable to damage from road debris kicked up by the TV's tires. Scraps of tire rubber have been flung against the lower front corners of my Scamp several times. Because they hit a glancing blow, they only left black marks, but the lower door area of this new design could take a direct hit. It's a jungle out there…

It is a jungle out there! My little Burro has little dings all over the pretty lower front.

As you can see from my pic below the door protrusion is not a new design element. This is mine after over 25,000 miles. Perhaps I have only been lucky.
From what I can see the only exterior updates are the hatch, hinges, door, door latch, tail lights, and location of the hot water heater.
I would be interested in knowing where they put that extra foot!

You're right- hadn't noticed that before. The new one appears to be flat on the forward-facing side, while the old appears aerodynamically contoured. But I guess if it wasn't a big problem before...

That makes two of us. I was looking for a bigger galley. Someday, when it's just down to my wife and me, I will probably decide I am done lugging and setting up an outdoor kitchen. I like the Scamp 16 side bath layout because it actually has some open counter space.

I thought the Parkliner was pretty impressive and it was one of my favorite trailers at the Atlanta RV show. I was a bit surprised that the price was as high compared to some of the other competitors. Also checked out the new Airstream Basecamp which is pretty neat but at $40,000 it was priced equally to a 16' Bambi. The bed wasn't quite long enough for my taste either.

It's in the tongue. The actual interior space has been decreased very slightly due to the double hull.

I also question their 2200 lb weight estimate.....
How can you add a second wall and an extra foot yet weigh the same as before? Is the new door that much lighter?
