Care for Scamp fixed location & full time use

I will be living a fixed location in my Scamp 16 (parked in campground with full hookups) for 5 1/2 months. Should I do anything special to care for the battery and suspension (or anything else)? I have a new deep cell battery. I have covered the tires... I know that for extended storage that it should be on blocks (I think?) but assume that is when not in use?

One point to remember is...
Do not leave your black tank valve open when hooked to the sewer.
Open it only to empty it, then close it between dumps.
Use a good chemical like Odorlos or similar with each charge.
This will allow the "digestion" of solids and paper.
If you don't do this solids will build up and damage your tank, valve and drain piping.

You can leave the gray tank valve open when hooked up.

But, if you do, you won't have any soapy water to flush the slinky after emptying the black tank.

For that length of time I would raise the suspension up on jack stands (in addition to the usual stabilizers). Place them on the frame just behind the axle. It takes the pressure off the rubber in the axle and makes the trailer feel more solid. Cover the tires.

I read somewhere that someone did leave the gray valve open, the campground sewer system had a problem, sewage backed up into a camper, flooded and ruined it.

I'm with Bob keep the greywater valve closed until you dump. If left open your trailer becomes a vent for the CG sewer system and with a Scamp the greywater vent is under the trailer.

if you are hooked up to electric you don't even need the battery. Took me 4 yrs to figure that out. With proper care batteries should last 6 yrs. Yours will be good but you should check it every once in a while for water and keep it charged up, get a volt reader.
you can charge it up with jumper cables or hooking it up to you car for a boost.

@Kathleen - re: battery - I tried disconnecting the battery and the 12V lights (I didn't try pumps or anything else) would not work. ??? Should the 12V items work even though the battery is disconnected (when plugged into power?)

Not likely, but I did not recommend leaving it open... My point was that you could harm the trailer by leaving the black water valve open, not so with the gray.
We use a garden hose to drain graywater when we have on site sewer, no problem yet. The hose provides a natural trap anyway. If you use the 4" hose as you say there is no harm in keeping it hooked up and closed then draining it each day with no adverse consequence. With only 18 gallon capacity it is a luxury to be able to keep the gray water empty between showers.
Campground sewers are vented at all substations.
