Underside plumbing of 98 Burro

I'm loving my new Burro and most everything is working like a charm. I bought it from a good friend and she's kept it in great shape.

I went to fill the water tank today tho and looked underneath and I'm pretty sure some plumbing is missing. Do I just need caps for the Grey and black water tanks, or is there more that's missing? I'd love to see a picture of what the underbelly of a Burro is supposed to look like. This is a 17 foot 1998.

There is a lot missing - all the piping and valves that connect to a dump swivel. Must have had a tough life if they wound up using chains to hold the tanks up! As you're in Utah, you might want to give Konrad a call at Little House Customs - Arizona. Although he works mostly on Casitas, this would be simple for him if you can't find local help.

I doubt it - you'd still have pipe hanger brackets underneath. Most likely a prior owner was off-roading and broke the piping, then removed the brackets. There had to be some work done down there to clean up the holes on the tanks. If you look closely you will probably find evidence of saw cuts on the pipe stubs.

Unfortunately I don't have any input for plumbing issue. But I did want to comment that, I have a '99 wide body burro 14' and I have chains holding my tanks too. So strange. I thought for sure a previous owner did that, but I guess not.

Cynthia most of what is missing is easily obtained & not hard to install. The dump valves can be found at any RV shop. You might want to start a new post with a title that asks someone to post a photo of the underside of their Burro so you have a good idea as to how it was all originally put together.

BTW seeing holding tanks held up by chains is a first for me! makes me wonder where the heck this trailer has been pulled.

I know chains right?! When I first saw it, I thought it was definitely something I was going to have to "fix". Now I am second guessing that.

I have a 1999 Burro the tanks also have chains holding them in place. Looks like you will probably only need Dump Valves added and some fittings to make it easy to dump.

my newly acquired 98 also has chains running under plastic tanks and am going to replace them with padded straps. i would have sworn that was a PO add on. look like trouble waiting to happen. already had a poorly supported fuel tank chafe through on my sailboat

If you have a shop in your area that works on boat holding tanks, they might be a source for repair. Much similar systems in pleasure boats.
