We are selling our much loved 13'
Burro. It is in good mechanical condition and tows well. The shell is in good condition and the carpeted plywood flooring is solid. We towed it behind a Honda CRV easily (and with only minor impact to MPG). In the last couple of years it has had many improvements:
- brand new axle
- solar panel
- new battery
- new propane tank with gages
- new tires (less than 1000 miles)
- latex foam bed cushions with Sunbrella fabric
- new Fan-tastic Vent with 3-speed fan
My wife also spent a considerable amount of time two springs ago cleaning the
fiberglass and applying a finish coating (I think it was ZEP wet-look floor finish). We also installed shelving in the closet setup to hold storage bins.
The new cushions are pretty firm and provide a great sleeping surface.
It has a clean water tank with no
leaks. The faucet pump is temperamental-works sometimes, not others. The two burner stove works well. This unit has the original cooler. We used dry ice to keep it cool for extended trips. As mentioned before, the floor is carpeted with commercial grade carpet.
We had plans to replace the carpeting that covers the ceiling joint (the original was falling off) but never finished that. We also had plans to improve the storage and cooking prep surfaces in the area where the bunk be is, but have not finished that, either. So, the interior space can use some loving, but it is still functional.
If you would like pictures of particular things, let me know and I'll do my best to capture what you would like to see.
I think this will be a great little trailer for someone or a young family. Be forewarned, it isn't too tall. I'm 6'1" and have to duck slightly in most areas and the bed is barely long enough.
Taller folk may want to look elsewhere....
