Just wondering if anyone has/had a Biggar trailer. There's a couple for sale that I've seen recently and am looking for some information on them and can't seem to find very much online. Anything anyone can offer would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Linda

Thanks for the link. Heard back on one that's now been sold, going to look at one tomorrow...need to check out the weight, the one post said they're about 4000 lbs but the tag on the trailer looked like it said 1800 so not sure if that one is lbs or kg. Hopefully lbs.

They are 19 feet long and were made in Canada, where I presume they would list Kilograms first, and Pounds second (if at all). 1800 Kilograms approximately equals 4000 Pounds.

1800kg/4000lb seems reasonable as a gross axle weight rating, our 1975 Taurus tinwall 17.5 ft, single axle, (with oven, furnace, fridge, awning, shower, and accommodation for 5) weighed in at 3500lb, fully loaded (with clothing, dishes, food, full water, propane tanks and battery) ready to go. I ran the complete pkg, truck and all, over the scale, then just the truck, and did the math. Remember, F/G, if it's hand layup cloth, can be reasonable weight, but gun blown (chopper) can be inconsistant (usually thick) in places, and therefore heavy.

Hi

We have one. Gary Nelson, whose comments are in the other thread, was kind enough to sell us ours.

If you have any questions, let me know. Manitoba Paul, also on the other thread, has owned his longer and knows more about them than I do.

We took ours out for the first time this weekend.
