Bigfoot window gasket creep

I have a 2004 Bigfoot with the dual pane windows. The gasket that separates the glass is creeping towards the center of the window. This is occuring only on the moveable pane. There are no performance problems as far as fogging but the look is bothering me.

Does anyone have any experience with this or can recommend a repair place in the Portland, OR area?

This is a common issue in Bigfoots from about 2003-04-05. The inner seal creeps between the double panes. The function of the window is not affected, but the look is pretty bad. I have one like this on my 04. The window cannot be repaired, but needs replacement if you can't live with the look. These windows are made by Sunview Industries in Summerland, BC, Canada. Their phone number is 250-494-1327. The rep I last talked to is Kent. Kent says that the problem is now resolved in windows made in 2006 and after. Sunview will sell you a new window, but they are not offering any warranty deals for this issue.

Thanks for your informative reply. I'll give them a call when they start bothering more. When I see the price I might find the seals don't bother me at all!

Sunview Industries

We had problems with our windows (Bigfoot 2005) when we purchased our trailer (17'). Saw Kent at Sunview, and our windows were replaced at a very reasonable rate. We highly recommend this firm.

Thank you for a very useful thread - I have the issue with one of my windows and this is very helpful.

I make the wall thickness of the Bigfoot 30C10.11 to be 1.75 inches, and the window opening radius to be 3 inches, does that sound right?

I've also talked with Kent and he gave me a very good quote on replacements (quite a bit better pricing than anywhere else I checked).
