Just curious. The wine cooler in my house was compressor driven. It hummed while running, but was pre-set to about 45 degrees. You might be able to find the thermostat and set it to 35 or so and store food.
As far as getting rid of waste heat, you'll just have to monitor it. Lots of run time in hot weather will definitely need outside venting. Wine cooling in winter, it might never even run. If needed, a couple of louvered vents and a muffin fan will do the trick.
I like the glass door and the idea of only cooling the
fridge but not having a freezer. Now, what about the power source????????
