Can any of you Casita Club members tell me how long you have to be a member before your allowed to post?
I want a 16' Casita.
I joined about 2 weeks ago and still cannot post anything in the wanted section.
I'm wondering if anyone's at home.

John, this is a common complaint about that site. Way not join the "Casita Forum" a much better organized site tbat is well run by its owner and webmaster. My opinion only but I have been a member of both sites and find the Casita Forum to be the best. Your membership will be approved very quickly there.

I have gone to the Casita Club site and attempted to obtain the user name and password. All goes very well until I enter my e mail address. Each time I enter my E-mail address I am informed that " the email address you used is not accepted by this board. Please select a different e mail address". Can anyone tell me what the heck this means? I am using my email address that I have been using for a number of years! I have looked for an e mail address to try to contact someone in the Casita Club to find out the problem. Can any of you point me to a good phone number or e mail address for someone in the club?

Help. I guess I spoke too soon. I went to my email to click on the Casita travel trailer forum link and then went to try to enter the site and was informed that I have error #2000 and am not allowed to visit the forum. The instructions state to check the help file - but when I click the help file nothing happens. Now what? Anyone with a good e mail address and or phone number to the Casita Travel Trailer Forum? Maybe the same people that operated the Casita Club are running the Casita travel trailer Forum?

I know you can't join with any of the free e-mail addresses such as yahoo or gmail or hotmail. Although I had trouble a year ago trying to be able to post for quite some time after having signed up. I finally think I got through when I e-mailed the site owner. I see now you have to post first in the Introduction Forum. Not sure how long it takes after that.

A year or more ago I went through the steps to sign up so I could contact someone selling a Casita. I never received the email saying my membership was approved, so I coudn't buy the trailer. I wrote and inquired, but still never got an aswer, so I figured I wasn't good enough to be in the exclusive club. (Time has proven them correct.)

To clarify, I only wrote my inquiry after several days had passed and no followup email arrived.

I've run into this problem with other sites and found that the main factor is, as Donna said, the free E-mail address.
I had no idea that there were different "kinds" of addresses until I tried to register somewhere and the site very plainly said "NO FREE E-MAIL ADDRESSES"
Reasoning that the (unused up 'til then) E-mail account that came with my internet connection must be "UN-free" (I pay for it, right?), I activated that one and use it mostly for registration purposes. I've had no problems since then.
I think the difference is that the latter is tied to my IP address, which is pretty much the same as my phone number on your caller ID, since it's linked through my provider directly to my home.
Paid IP addresses are usually linked to such a bricks-and-mortar location, which for obvious reasons are not the base of choice for spammers
Lacking a "no free e-mail" firewall, sites like the Casita Club have to "hand verify", whatever that means, in order to rule you out as a potential bad guy.
