NC | Casita and Friends rally in NC mountains, June 9-12, 2011

The Casita and Friends annual summer rally is scheduled for June 9-12 at Four Paws Kingdom Campground in Rutherfordton, N.C. This is the seventh straight year that Four Paws has hosted this rally for us, and it includes several great food events, a variety of other fun activities and many opportunities for fellowship with nice people in a mountain setting.
This rally is open to everyone, regardless of the type of camper they have. In addition, the campground has rental camper units and cabins.

Here are some highlights from the rally schedule: Thursday evening we'll have a wine tasting - bring a bottle of your favorite vino or a local wine from your part of the country. Marty and Suzanne will be providing a program on the Canine Companions for Independence - if you haven't heard of this organization, you will be amazed at how people like Marty and Suzanne help to prepare dogs to help their people with special needs. On Friday, our fur children can enjoy the Waggin' Tails Games. Later in the day, the adults can gather for an ice cream social. In the evening, we'll have a potluck dinner followed by a trivia contest. Saturday will begin with coffee and donuts at the Pavilion. The camper crawl and yard sale will take place in the afternoon - time to clean out the garage, the closets - bring those items you thought you needed, but really didn't. Your trash may be someone else's treasure. In the evening, we'll enjoy a Four Paws BBQ and Bingo to benefit Four Paws Kingdom Foundation.

Four Paws still has RV sites available for the rally, along with rental cabins and campers that they rent out. Our event is open to everyone - not just Casita owners - and we hope to see you there.

hi mike! sorry that dennis and i will not be able to join you at this rally. knowing how much fun we had at myrtle beach, we're disappointed but sure hope that you get a great turnout and have a blast!!!

Good morning, troops....Mrs. 2yax here...thank you for the warm welcome yesterday and allowing us to crawl in and out of your rigs...it was a very pleasant afternoon chatting with everyone, hearing your stories and seeing your homes away from home.

Thank you also for the invite to the Feb gathering at Myrtle Beach, could make a nice end of winter adventure.

Look forward to keeping up with you all and seeing you again soon.

Four Paws is a wonderful, clean, dog friendly place...the owners are to be commended for their care, upkeep and welcoming spirit.
