July 15-17, 2011: Mid-Atlantic/Pocono Egg Fest

Everyone seems to be leaning towards the 7/15-7/17 th date and I have not had anyone contact me from Bolerama who wanted to attend both rally's so let's stick with these dates and go for it. here is the link to cg Delaware Water Gap/Pocono Mountain KOA for reservations. Although it is still 7 months away the KOA policy is if you need to cancel or change (before 48 hours of the date) you will only lose $10, sort of like trip cancellation insurance. Not too bad for peace of mind and KOA will also allow you to change to another date if something comes up without losing a penny. They are very camper friendly. Mention the Egg Camper meet and pick you spot, I think 123-143 are the ones I placed on hold. I picked #132 tentatively.

Coming down from NH. We have #127. I like thinking about some warmer temperatures as I sit here with the wind howling and the temps in the low 20's.

Ron, Jane and Meghan our dog.

Great work everyone in registering so soon. We now have 7 registered and 9 still available.
Interesting, we have a 2007,2008, and a 2009 EggCamper attending with a possible 2010 still contemplating. Don and myself are working on a tentative schedule of activities. Are there any suggestions or ideas from other attendees?

Great.... we now have the complete EggCamper set 2007-2010, hmmmm- I wonder if anyone is going to get a 2011 model next year? Great work everyone and thanks- think springtime now...
I just spoke with Jim Palmer- owner of EggCamper and told him about this- he said there were only about 30 of the 2006 units sold but was glad we had a full nest egg set. He also said he is working on a Egg tow vehicle- an Egg Shaped class B self contained unit, that should be interesting to see. He will post some pictures after the holidays. This guy works everyday!!!

Hello! We've traveled to TN the past two years for the "Eggscursion". It was a wonderful time and we met some great people, but it's an 18 hour trek from here in Upstate NY. This year we'd like to stay closer to home, and this seems like the perfect get-together. We will be in site 138. My husband plays guitar and fiddle. Are there any musicians in the group who might want to jam?

Hello neighbor, I'm right across from you @132. You are #10 to register, next person will qualify all of us for a 10% discount and it will climb higher as we get more attendees. Can you give us an idea of the Eggscursion event agenda. Thanks

Sure! They did bring-your-own-breakfast in the pavilion in the mornings. Saturday morning around 11 was the tour of everyone's eggs. Each person got a ballot to vote for their favorite mod. Saturday afternoon there was a hike, or people could visit some local points of interest. Saturday evening was a pot luck dinner, and they announced the contest winners. There were also prizes for the people who came the farthest, and a few other gag type contests. There was spontaneous jamming in the pavilion each evening, which prompted my question about musicians.

I noticed that you are from Cortland. My son went to SU and has a close friend from Cortland. It's a lovely little town!

I also been in Cortland ......nice town that i got caught in a major snow storm there. I was supposed to go to Cortlandt (with a "T") that's near the tappan zee bridge.... that was a huge mistake that will never happen again. Nice country up by you.
