How to: installing hull liner in Trillium

Hi,

I’ve tried doing a search for this topic but for some reason, I’m coming up empty. Our new to us, 75 13 ft Trillium, came without anything on the walls//roof. An empty shell.....so, we had no choice but to get on this. It lives in Northern Michigan in the summer and in New Mexico in the winter. So temp extremes are rare.
We have put on reflextix to the inside of our trillium and are getting ready to put on the hull liner. I really would like to know how people dealt with those curvy corners? I have watched some videos from Sailrite but those curves are not quite as curvy as the corner curves of a Trillium. Anyone who has put this on, curvy or otherwise, and could offer some tips, I’d really appreciate that!

Karen.

Karen, I found that two people work best while handling the glued material, and when I used a dry paint roller to smoothly apply the material, it eliminated wrinkles and overly stretching of the marine headliner. I also found out the hard way that 3M 77 did not hold up to the Arizona heat, but DAP High Temp Headliner glue did. Best of luck.

Thanks David for the tips. And to the others whose names I can’t remember. Ha ha. I will give you a call but I don’t know when is best for you. Also, a good idea to post info for everyone if you get the chance. I ordered the hull liner but will be doing as much research and looking as possible over the next two weeks.

I was wondering what this tissue is you used on the walls/ceiling? Is it like hull liner? Btw.......wow. I’m in awe of the work you did. Karen.

I’ll give you a call. When is a good time? I’m on mountain time. You can PM perhaps.
Karen
