1974 Trillium 1300 - mounting front upper shelf

I just bought a U-shaped fibreglass front upper shelf for my 1974 Trillium 1300.

I've got to patch some holes before I install it.

I have a question regarding the installation of it.

I know how it goes screwed into the upper cabinet, upper window frame, and bulb near the door, but does the ensolite and T-moulding have to be trimmed or does it get installed on top of th ensolite and T-moulding?

Screw straight through ensolite to the wood. Goes right over T moldings. Make sure wood is solid (not rotten) first.
