Hate to hear it!! I always cringe when I see that and it's something that will make me nervous when I do join the small fiberglass RV world. Lots of meth heads looking for an easy score.

Just wondering - for insurance purposes, does a new FIberglass RV depreciate once you drive it off the lot like a car?

Willy do we have permission to repost to Fiberglass Trailer facebook page here in BC? .... doubt it will come this far though ... most likely its become another housing option in the oil fields.

Hello,

It is sad to hear about a person's nice RV being
stolen. Hope it is located.

For those with such valuable assets there is a way
to easily keep track of them. It involves installing
a small transponder-like device. If the trailer or
asset moves a signal is sent to a satellite and the'
tracker's location can be seen on your computer or
smart phone with the correct app. It looks like the
cost of doing this would be about $50 (with half price
coupon) and $100/year service fee.

SPOT Trace Product

If I owned a newer more vauable trailer I would surely
consider investing in this system.

Will keep an eye open for it here on the Oregon Coast. Not likely it'll get this far, but you never know when or where thieves will show up. (This makes me especially sad since I own a Bigfoot, too!)

We have a hitch lock, yes it may not prevent a theft, but it will sure make it a lot harder to get your trailer. Pretty sure you can't cut it with a bolt cutter or a hack saw, so it may force them to find easier pickins.

TRAILER HAS BEEN FOUND: It`s currently in impound and inaccessible until investigation is complete. Don`t know what shape it`s in. Thanks to everyone for your support.

YAY!! Hopefully it's in good shape. I think the thieves should be sentenced to a lifetime of camping in a non-fiberglass trailer; or better yet, a leaky pup tent. That'll show 'em.
