Boler stove top finish

Just came-by a 1980 17' Boler. Everything was very well maintained - near original. The 4-burner stove top though has lost its finish. Is this common?
Any suggestions to restoring it to a shiny, lustrous finish?

I tried that on a 13' Boler I had and wasn't too impressed. Never kept a gloss finish - just sort of frosted... even worse with a little scrubbing...

Hi-temp powder coating. Hot rodders have headers done. If you don't want to spend the money, build a nice stove cover. Out of site, out of mind.
