Verification of Scamp Model Year Needed

Newbie Here,

I am looking at a Scamp tomorrow, but the owners are unsure of the year (though there is a year on the title). Could some owners provide their VIN (or the pertinent parts, if you do not want to disclose the entire number) and the year of your trailer? I understand records were destroyed in a fire. And, I guess VINs were not standardized until the early 1980's? The trailer purportedly was built in the 1970's or 1980's. Thank you. I am looking forward to someday owning a Scamp and gain much needed advice from this forum.
