Scamp 13 Heat Anticipator Setting?

I just tried to start furnace and found that the heat anticipator was in a netural setting. It has never been set and was wondering what to set it at. The furnace is a Suburban NT-16SE with a heat only thermostat. Thanks, Mike

Regardless what the anticipator is set at, the furnace should come on normally. You can jumper it also. If I remember right the sequence should be something like this. Set point is reached, turn thermostat all the way up, the fan should come on to purge leftover gas fumes in the heater, glow igniter should glow red and then gas should come on. Good luck

Set the anticipator to the amperage / current raring of the gas valve . You can usually find the voltage and current ratings on the side of the gas valve . The furnace will run even if the anticipator is incorrectly set but it may short cycle or over shoot the set point . Normal household furnaces usually have a current rating of .4 A at 24 V not sure for an RV furnace
