Hey all, I have been lurkin on the site trying to learn all I can about Fiberglass Campers while I save for one of my own. I saw this one on Craigslist and thought some may be interested. Also is it standard to have the AC on top like that? Its is the first I have seen local to me and if I had the money right now I would be going to look for sure. Hi Joe,
Even if you can't afford it right now you should download a copy of the "Buyers Check List" (drop down More at the top right and select Document Center).
Then go have a look at it with the list in hand. That way you will know what to look for when you do have the $$. You will get a better idea of what trailers you like and what layouts etc best suit your style.

Even if you don't have a trailer, most meets have a day of "show and tell". You can go and see a number of trailers all at once and learn about problems and mods to look for. Many of us and our pets don't bite.

AC on top is normal for the Casira 17. Also notice the raised center roof. Good if you are tall but a limitation for some who need lower clearance. We love ours. As you shop you will find other makes and models with otherr AC locations.

Thanks for the recommendations Roy and Dave! I may have to give the guy a call. I have only been in one fiberglass camper and I think it was a 13ft Casita. A buddy of mine that lives in Florida got it for free and fixed it up. It was awesome but it has been a few years since I have seen it. I have a Jeep so my towing cap is sort of low so I remembered his egg and googled Egg campers and it led me here. I have been on this site a few weeks and read it every day. I am amazed at some of the builds on here and the great people that make up this site. Dang I cant wait to get one of my own! Thanks again!

Watch the forum for egg meets in your area. That is a good way to compare and learn a lot about various makes and models new ond old. You will meet some great folks too.
