I have bought a 1999
Casita Freedom 17' travel trailer and I have a few problems. The stove has been cut in half and I am missing a chair. I have checked the measurements with the factory, which is only 3 hours away (I live in Houston, Tx.) and the stove cabinet they make today is almost the same as the one that was in it. The old one measures, width 29", depth 26" and height 35". The cabinet they make today is width 28.5, depth 25" and height 34.5".
I have done a ruff estimate of what it will take to restore the stove cabinet with burner and sink and replacing the chair with recovering both chairs because the fabric is out of date. The trailer is still in good condition and with a little elbow grease I think I can make it shine again. My question is to the experienced owners out there, is it worth me sinking a few thousand in it to bring it up to speed or should I clean the outside and put a shine on it and sell it like it is, and if so what should I ask for it? Any replies would be appreciated, because I am going to sell it regardless. I just wonder if I fix it up, can I make the extra work worth the investment. Thanks ahead of time for any help
