Hi All: I just looked back and it's hard to believe, my last post was May 2012.
I worked hard on the B15 in May and had high hopes, but you all know what happens to the best laid plans or good intentions.
In June, July and Aug. we made over 20 trips to Kelowna(440 kms return)for my wifes's radiation treatments, tests etc. So far everything looks good
and we are very optomistic. All the driving did take up a lot of my hoped for time re: working on the trailer. We also in that time took 2 ten day
trips to the coast, soooooooo finally 2 weeks ago we took "Revive" out for her shake down cruise, (I've named our trailer Revive because she once
was dead but now is alive again.) We visited a very nice provincial park campground about 1 hour away. All went well. We actually spent 3 nights
and it was a pleasant experience. The 12 volt DC fridge worked very well and the
solar panel seemed to keep the battery up although next time I will
try to park where there is more sun available rather than in the shade. The battery is a several year old car battery, so I will look into getting
a good deep cycle battery for the future.
Rosana sewed the cushions covers and curtains. The only concern I have is that the B15 is a little heavy for our Kia Rondo. We stopped at the Gov't
weigh scales and it weighed in at 1900 lbs. Our max. towing capacity for the car is 2,000 lbs. The tongue
weight was 220 lbs. and our car hitch max.
is 200 lbs. A little to close for comfort. We don't want to get rid of our car as we really enjoy it. so we are now
weighing our options.??????
I am attaching some pics of the 99% finished product for your perusal.
